The company was founded in Finland in 2014 by five experienced entrepreneurs. The company is managed by its long-time CEO and Co-founder Jani Rytkönen (M.Sc. Econ.). In 2025, the team welcomed Antero Palo as Vice President of Business Development, leveraging over 20 years of industry experience from Salcomp. Today, BrightCharger Oy combines decades of technology and industry know-how, business development, and IP expertise to bring patent-protected charging control solutions to market through licensing, integration support, and extensive partner collaboration.
